aibia is legally registered in Italy

We have recently finalized our legal registration process in Italy for the formation of our European educational project/programs based out of Molise, IT. We are registered as a non-profit association named "aibia Italia," and will begin building our Global programs out of this legal entity based in Roccavivara, IT.

Dear Partners,

Thank you for your generous support over the past years, as well as your dedication in fund raising to support underprivileged women and children in this part of the world (Sierra Leone).

Everyday aibia itch towards community trust in what we are doing, and our commitments is becoming broader every day.

With the introduction of our ICT Literacy initiative, we are extraordinarily having an average of 30 phone calls each week from heads of schools asking when we would start the ICT teaching in schools. One of the Orphan School heads said it like a ray of light in the darkness to bring this initiative in his school.

Because of your support, women have a plot and seeds to farm, children have the hope to eat and attend school.

As the year comes to a close, we are working to secure more support to reach out to more women and children, providing jobs for young people through our ICT Literacy program for schools.

Please consider a year-end gift to help us reach our ICT Literacy program for underprivileged schools in Sierra Leone.

Aibia Signed MOU with Ministry of Education in Bombali District

 Aibia Signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Basic & Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE) in Bombali District to Provide ICT Literacy in Schools.

aibia's First (virtual) Summer School!!

We did it! Though not exactly as we would have liked due to Covid.  Unfortunately, due to the covid-19 pandemic we were not able to bring our students from the University of Leipzig all the way to Roccavivara from Germany, but we were able in some ways to bring Roccavivara to the Germany students! 

Instead of the ten day in person excursion we had planned for the students in Roccavivara, Sarah and I did ten different video interviews with people, projects, families, and of events here in the area. These events were then uploaded to the students' course program and then discussed in our virtual classroom settings. 

The students responses was overwhelming positive, and wished they had actually visited this community and beautiful countryside. Hopefully next year we can do it again in person!
