Working on Achieving Youth Dreams

Aibia have been working closely with the Youth Dream Centre Sierra Leone for the potential  Implementation of a Space Project in Urban Mabanta Community in Makeni City.

We are also looking for Future support for the appropriate utilization of the building after it completion.

Aibia would provide leadership training to these young people and also provide them with information and communication training and equipment so that young people are able to communicate their situation to the wider world.

The Office is Finished!!

It took several years - interrupted by malaria, Ebola, a PhD, rising material costs, and a family being started - but we've finished it. So now we can start the real work! 

The next year will mostly be planning, administration, and getting funding and materials. So we've leased it to another organization for the next year, to help us cover our costs while before start implementing our projects. But by next October we will have computers and space for the community, and be able to offer computer training, public internet access, and meeting space. We will also have office space to run our other projects from here as well. We of course have a lot of work to do to get the funding and materials, but it is an exciting moment for us... A long journey to get here, but one that is only just beginning!

Imagine a teenage orphan girl holds the future of 8 sibling. 19 sticks on the head with the aim to support her family and reduced her own life expectancy. 

The daily living business of Ebola affected women in Bombali, Sierra Leone.

The only survival for an Ebola affected pregnant widow is logging woods and carry them on the head 6 miles and more to sell in big towns to feed her family. This woman and many more down there have the same stories. Their children need education, they need agriculture support, they are left with many health problems. Support the project and make life better for women and children.
