AIBIA...
...is an alternative educational, research, and development network
We build Living Laboratories in so-called “marginal” regions, where communities, students, and researchers experiment with alternative ways of living and learning.
We run immersive programs and field schools that bring people into those experiments.
We host a Think Tank that turns these experiences into concepts, tools, and publications others can use.

Why we’re doing this
AIBIA starts from a simple problem: the places most affected by crisis — rural peripheries, low-income neighborhoods, “minor” regions — are rarely the ones shaping the solutions. We create spaces where those places become centers of knowledge and experimentation, and where universities, communities, and movements can actually build alternatives together.
